    3. Hello, Julie, It's nice to have you join us in our on going search. I hope you reach you DAR goal. In searching my family database, I have not yet found your names in the right time era but will keep trying. I have three names for your book - ("Records of Indentured Servants and of Certificates for Land Northumberland County , VA 1650-1795" by Preston Haynie) Peter Huffman, William McComb, and John Conrad Baker. These are my "dead ends" at this time. Thank you, Susan

    3. Thanks so much - I couldn't find a Huffman - but there was, HUBBART, HUBBARD, HUBBART, HICKMAN, Nathaniel, no HOFFMAN, Bakers - Allice, Anthony, Edward, Hugh, John (see below 1372), Richard, Robert, Theodore and Thomas (4 entries) McComb = nothing under MacComb, MacKomb - the closest looks like an Owen McComer - there's also a Patrick McConner Let me know if you want anything other than the John Baker. p228-229 - 1372 - 15 June 1709 - John Baker, servt to William Nelmes, being brough to this Court to be adjudged when he becomes tythable, is by the Court adjudged to be fourteene years old. OB 1699-1713, Part 2, 579 I'm not promoting this site - but it's called Imigrant servants: http://www.immigrantservants.com/ - and the cool thing is that every time someone pays the $25 to look up someone it is posted. There are 4 John Bakers here, sorry my work computer is slow, otherwise I would look for your other people. I ordered 2 of them - 1 I knew about - Nicholas LeHugh - I ended up giving them some of the info they posted, but they did find our family historian, so if you are one, it might be a good way to get the word out: http://immigrantservants.com/servant/show/649 and there is a Peter Lehoot - whom is in my book and I don't know if he's related, but I thought for $25 it was worth a shot: http://immigrantservants.com/servant/show/681 They also sent me a jpg of the entry for each person I ordered. I hope this helps Julie The Pederson's <bpederso@tds.net> wrote: ("Records of Indentured Servants and of Certificates for Land Northumberland County , VA 1650-1795" by Preston Haynie) Peter Huffman, William McComb, and John Conrad Baker.
