I am not really new to the list. At this time I am just changing email accounts and needed to subscribe using the new email address. Regardless, I can mention my Augusta roots. I am researching Joseph Thompson who is believed to have been from Augusta County prior to his arrival in Kentucky in 1787. He is my Thompson Brick Wall. Other Augusta name of interest is John Black and his son Robert Black who were in Augusta prior to their arrival in Kentucky. Joseph Thompson is my GGGGGrandfather. It is quite likely that this Joseph's father was Joseph also and that the elder Joseph died in Kentucky about 1792. John Black is my GGGGGGrandfather, through his son Robert, Robert's daughter Sarah Black and Sarah's daughter Rebecca Robert Shields. Ring any Bells?
