In 1806, John Smith married Keziah Patterson in Albemarle County. Kaziah was the daughter of William Patterson and Isabella ??? On the 1850 census in Augusta County, a Keziah Smith, age 70, was living with the family of Henry Matthews and his wife Eliza. On the 1860 census, Eliza Matthews indicated that she was born in Albemarle County. I am interested in finding the marriage record of Henry Matthews and Eliza ??. Based on the age of their children on the 1850 census, they probably married about 1844. I will appreciate it if someone who has the book of Augusta marriages will check to see if they can find this marriage. If it is in the book, I will also appreciate any additional information that is included, such as name of parents, bondsman, etc. Also, if anyone is researching the family of William Patterson and Isabella, I will be excited to hear from you since am their ggggg grandson.
