good day all. my brick wall remains Marcena Mitchenor, born 1791 "somewhere in VA". My assumption is that since he lived and died in Greene Co., PA that he might have been born in the area that flipped back and forth between states. I believe that it is possible that his family could have been Quakers that were excommunicated or left the church to "go west" but I can find no records to substantiate that claim. I also think that there might be a tie between the Marcena Alloway family of Montgomery Co., PA and the Mitchener's who were in the same Quaker meeting since he has that very unusual first name.
