    3. Cemetery Ridge is in Gettysburg -- It was the object of the ill-fated Pickett's Charge that essentially broke the Confederate Army. I recently read an article by an acoustical engineer that said that part of the problem in that battle was that the lay of the land block sound waves. Meade & Pickett & Lee & Longstreet couldn't hear each other's battle sounds, and lacking cell phones, Meade's (I think it was Meade) entry into the battle came too late. By the time someone told him the battle was on, it was lost. -----Original Message----- From: ClCritter <winecell@raex.com> To: VAAUGUST-L@rootsweb.com <VAAUGUST-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, May 31, 1999 8:54 PM Subject: [VAAUGUST-L] Cemetery Ridge >Does anyone know the location of Cemetery Ridge.
