I have some old photographs of relatives who I can't identify. However, I know they are from my family because they were given to me by a family member. The photos were taken around the turn of the century (maybe earlier) and have the texture and firmness of a postcard. At the bottom of the picture are the words BLAKEMORE STAUNTON VA. Is there a possibility that records were kept of people who had their pictures taken at Blakemore's Studio? If anyone can shed some light on what I have here, I would deeply appreciate it. I also have some that were taken at J.M. HILL BRIDGEWATER VA. If anyone can help me out on those too, or give me the bad news that all I have is old photos with nothing written on the backs and I'll have to wonder about them for the rest of my life.
