Linda Lewis, VAGenWeb Coordinator, founder of USGenWeb Archives (and a lot of other things), has been diligently scanning vol. II pages of Chalkley's "Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia," and her announcement was in celebration of the completion of 2/3rd of this three vol. work. Chalkley contains most of the early court records of Augusta County from its beginning to 1800 and is the starting place for anyone doing serious research in Augusta County. Linda was generously handing out bouquets to the rest of us who had a hand in getting this project online. But she forgot to give herself a bouquet.
