Rena, Mary Thompson, b. 1739, was d/o John Thompson and Mary Unknown. No doubt this William connects with John Thompson's line (Anne, Archibald, Mary, Lucy, Betty, George, Roden, Rebekah), but to my knowledge no one has found the documents to connect the two. This may be the William in Harman's book that had a son, Col. Archibald Thompson, another named "Roan Billy," about which there's much documentation. We can't even find John and Mary, despite the fact that we have Archibald's Diary.
