I am new to these lists and seeking ancestry of my Cunninghams who settled in Kentucky. Hugh Cunningham was in Woodford County, KY (previously Fayette) by 1791. His sons were Thomas, James, and John, all apparently born in Virginia. Another researcher believes that Hugh was born in 1744 and was the son of Jacob Cunningham. This Hugh left a will, naming his wife, Elizabeth, and the three sons, in Woodford County in 1820. I have had a suggestion that these Cunninghams may have come from Augusta County, VA. I have read about a Hugh Cunningham in both "Annals of Augusta County", by Jos. A. Waddell and "History of Augusta County", by J. Lewis Peyton, but can't tell if this is my Hugh. If anyone can help me with these Cunninghams, or offer suggestions for further searching, I will greatly appreciate it. I have lots of Kentucky information on my Cunninghams.
