ON 11-20-1764, His wife is said to be Elizabeth (Ramsey or Vaught) Amos was born in 1740 in Augusta Co and had a brother who was James Heaton. Do not know who his parents or any other family info. Amos moved to Davidson Co TN in 1779 in preparation for Donelson Flotila to settle the Cumberland. He established Heaton Station which served as early fort and protection for Nashville area. Amos had several children. (Prudence, Robert, Polly, Enoch, Sally, Elzabeth, Thomas, Joseph, Francis, and others) Amos HEATON died in 1794, in Nashville and left a Will naming his childen.
