Flagg) Seeking information on my gggg-grandfather Thomas Godfrey (Godfray), who is listed in the "Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish"as a servant of 1) Val Servier and 2) John Baumgardner (Bomgardner) ca. 1749 in Augusta Co. His descendants eventually migrated to Wyoming County, W.Va. Thomas Godfrey [sic] is on record in the Va. Land Grant Office as receiving land grant for service as a scout in the French and Indian War in SW Va. This land grant may have been in Wythe or Tazewell Counties. He married Susannah Lusk, whose first husband had been killed in an Indian raid. Children: Absalom (m. Mary (Polly) Ellen Bailey), and Burgess.
