John was born in 1759 and died in 1831. He married Agnes ERWIN(ERVINE) and had 12 children : Elizabeth,William, Jared, Jane, Margaret, Mary, James, John, George, Thomas, Nancy, and Samuel. I believe William also married an ERWIN(ERVINE) girl. They came together to Highland Co. VA around 1794 from possibly Pendleton Co. VA or Loudon Co. VA I have a very complete line following these men, but nothing about their parents or when the family arrived from Nothern Ireland.
