Here is information on the Heritage Book which was recently forwarded to me. ----------------------------- It is the "Augusta County, Virginia Heritage Book" 1732-1998: Motto on front says "Mother of States, Mother of Counties". (Is that the county motto? ) The inside cover has a map of all the property areas as of 1736 apparently, labeled "The Beverley Patent". Altho property dates are later, such as ' Finley McClure 444 acres 1739'. The publisher info is: Printed in USA by Walsworth Publishing Co. LC # 99-60043, Copyright : S. E. Grose.
