Searching for any information on the surname CHISM. My husband's gr.gr.grandfather was Franklin Chism, born November 7, 1807 in Augusta County, Virginia - according to information we have. By 1835 he had made two trips to Ohio with an unknown brother, and finally settled in Fairfield County, Ohio, where he married Elizabeth Geiger in 1838. We have been trying - unsuccessfully to this point - to find the names of Franklin's parents/siblings. Are there 1810, 1820, and 1830 Census for Augusta County? If so, are there any online?
