Welcome your private comments as well as a posting to this site. >> I believe I ordered two books either two or three years ago. One for myself and one to donate to donate to our genealogical society library. I began to wonder if they would every get it published. I finally received my copies about a a month ago. I am glad I waited for it to finally show up. There are a 156 pages of biographies of the early families, some very good historical background on Staunton and Augusta County, histories of the various churches and religions, and many photographs. It is a handsome book, and very well done in my opinion. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone interested in Augusta County. But it is NOT a book I expect to trace my ancestors with.
