    3. Barb, For definitive info on Kissling, check out the following webpage: http://www.megsinet.com/~sharprm/library/kesling.htm My ancestor Jacob Kisling was the son of Christopher Kissling and his 2nd wife Anna Christina Lingel. Anna Gertrauda Kautz was Christopher's first wife. Earl Kisling and a person by the name of Wolf Sakowski have spent much time and much money researching the Kissling line back into Germany. They have found many authoritative records on this line. The Kautz line is also mentioned on this webpage. Also, I might add that some records for my Jacob Kisling and his wife Anna Barbara Baer, in terms of baptisms of children, are available through records of the Peaked Mountain Church. The Ermentrout name is also connected with that church because I remember seeing it among the records. -- Mary Taffet mdtaffet@syr.edu bevans wrote: > > And you thought yours were hard to find... > > introducing the (1755-81 Augusta County) > > Couts[Kautz] Boys: Dad-Christian, Sons-John (wife Elizabeth) and Teter > (sometimes Christian), and their in-laws the Kisslings, Ermentrouts, > Wrights, Starks, Vaughn, Masons, and a Gordon ... > > THE BOYS- were also terrible spellers with German accents.
