    3. And you thought yours were hard to find... introducing the (1755-81 Augusta County) Couts[Kautz] Boys: Dad-Christian, Sons-John (wife Elizabeth) and Teter (sometimes Christian), and their in-laws the Kisslings, Ermentrouts, Wrights, Starks, Vaughn, Masons, and a Gordon ... THE BOYS- were also terrible spellers with German accents. There names have also been found as Cates, Coontz, Coonts, Couch, Counts, Coutch, Cowatz, Cutch AND- all of those variations except starting with a "K".... The majority of their time was spent in Augusta on the Hampshire Co. border. They ended up in KY and Tn starting in 1786..a Couts [with a few variations] Any help would be appreciated... Good luck!
