Hi again Bill and all, My Abraham Newland FLEENOR's parents were Michael FLEENOR SR. and Sarah LINDER. So we are distant cousins. I am related through Washington Fleenor and Mary Stinson TOOL. She was a sister to my 3-great grandfather; James Alexander TOOL. None of what you sent is new to me but it's great that we are researching the same lines. The only reason I am researching the FLEENOR, McCOLLOCH lines is to try to find some information on Mary STINSON TOOL'S grandfather. It has been a 20 year search and I'm beginning to think Mary's grandfather Archibald TOOLE magically appeared like the leprechauns they told me about in Ireland. ;+( To my knowledge Archibald was born and died; but where and when ???? He married 10 Nov 1791 in Augusta CO.,VA (I have a copy of the Bond)to Barbara FUDGE (I have lots of FUDGE information) Archibald and Barbara had 7 children that I know of; John J. TOOL m. Elizabeth HAYBARGER; Adam Miller TOOL m. Susan/Suzanna Hamilton STINSON; Manuel TOOL unmarried; Polly(Sally) TOOL m. Philip BROOKS and moved to TN.; Barbara TOOL m. John FUDGE (her 1st cousin--shame shame); Arthur TOOL unmarried; and last but not least Jacob Fudge TOOL m. Ann Elizabeth FERGUSON. Are you subscribed to SW_VA-L@rootsweb.com? Edgar Howard has just posted Michael FLEENOR's pension application and Sarah LINDER FLEENOR'S widow's pension application. Maybe by searching all of Archibald and Barbara FUDGE TOOL's issue I will come up with someone or something that is the key to this snowball from you know where!!! <grin> Do you need any Iowa research. I have photo's of most of the TOOL tombstones. Let me know.
