I finally was able to locate some Virginia land records for our John Fisher b.6 Feb 1758. He received a patent on 360 acres on the head of Peters Creek in Halifax County VA. adjoining the lands of Comer, Boyd, etc. John's wife was Anne and his father William. Wm. Fisher's will was probated in Halifax County Jan 26, 1795. Mentioned in the will were son David Fisher and son-in-law Andrew McGinnes, husband of Anne. Executors: David Fisher and Andrew Meyers.
