Doris, Saw the post of your Augusta Co. names and the name HORNER jumped out at me. I've been working on a HORNER family that was in Albemarle, Amherst and Augusta Co. (latter in Waynesboro area). Are we working on the same family? The earliest HORNER ancestor that I have was James HORNER who md. Elizabeth BERRY, d.o. Bradley BERRY, (prob. in Albemarle Co.) in the 1790's sometime. This James HORNER also lived in Amherst Co. and he died in 1808 in Augusta Co.. The records indicate that he had at least one son, Isham HORNER, b. ca. 1802-03 and he may have had another son named James or John who was nine years old in 1809....and maybe another named Samuel. All of this except for Isham is unproven as yet. Does this look familiar to you or anyone else????? Dolores in California
