Hi All I have been looking for yeeeears for the parents of my Michael HARMAN b.1767 in PA d. 1807 in Staunton, Augusta Co., VA . He married Elizabeth FRIEDLY in 1790 in Frederick Co., VA. Michael HARMAN died intestate and in 1807 John MCDOWELL was the surety on the Letter of Administration papers. Also in 1807 John MCDOWELL was appointed one of the guardians for Michael HARMAN's children. I've decided to track all the people my Michael associated with beginning with John MCDOWELL in hopes that I can find them living in the same area, traveling to new areas together etc. Is anyone working on MCDOWELL genealogy that would know who the parents and spouse of this John MCDOWELL would be?
