    3. Nancy, I'm confused as to just which man/family you are looking for, but these Robinson's are so confusing anyway,,,keep me awake nights sometimes. Anyway, I think one key is to remember where they live,,,the 'waters'. I have found these things on some of the names you mentioned. Just which one are you interest in? Kegley pg 334 has this to say abt Geo. Robinson...that he d. spring 1763,20 years leader in community., land in Beverley Manor, in the Forks of James, on the Roanoke and on the branches of the New River. As a brother in law to Bryan McDonald and Wm. Graham who came with him to the Roanoke he looked out for their interests in land and had them and others of his family to settle near by him. His own location - on the forks of the ways leading to the South and the West, on a creek strong enough to run a grist mill and on soil good enough for profitable farming. ....Capt of the Company until large enough to divide etc etc. Buried in the graveyard by his dwelling. His wife, Martha, and eldest sons James and Samuel should have the profits from the mill and the plantation to maintain, clothe and school the younger children. George and Wm. were to learn trades when old enough. If wife mar. again, she was to have 1/3 of profits of the mill and 1/3 of the plantation laid off. James and Sam were to have the home place with adjoining entries and pay Geo. and Wm. 40 pounds when they were 21. Dau. Sarah, Catherine, Priscilla and Martha were to receive 20 pounds each. Widow mar. Joshua McCormick and went to KY. James and Samuel with their wives Sarah and Jane sold the homeplace in 1770 to Thomas Madison, who succeeded in getting the Vestry of Botetourt Parish to use it with adjoining land for a Glebe. HIs will witnessed by Wm. Preston, Wm. Graham, Joseph Robinson, John Robinson and Francis Graham. Then Kegley has - there was James Robinson Jr. who left a will 1751, recorded 1754, his land on Lewis creek in Beverley Manor adjoining land of Rev. John Craig and others. He had sons George and Alexander. Not much known abt this George except that he live in Botetourt Co, Alexander lived in Montgomery Co. Alex. mar. Margaret Robinson. They sold their 1/2 of James land to George in 1777 and in 1779 went to KY. George's wife was Jane. In the Boggs Family Book it says that William Robinson's dau. Margaret mar. Alexander Robertson. And that Wm. had a sister Margaret who mar. Robert Boggs Kegley pg 335 Wm. Robinson, of South Branch, built a causeway at Vause's and died Aug 1765, estate appraised by Walter Crockett, Wm Bryan and James Neely. Then there is the Col. Wm. Robinson living on the North Fork Calendar of Delaware Wills New Castle Co 1682-1800 James Robinson, yeoman will written 4 Dec 1726, probated 30 Dec 1726. Son George; dau. Cathren MackDonald,; dau.
