I relate some of our ancestors leanings toward their loyalty to the "Mother" Country as I do some of their later descendants to the North. I was informed a few months ago that I was the direct descendants of some VA Tories through one branch of my tree---my BANE family!! My gr.gr.gr.grandmother...the Tory descendant, md. into the family of Amer. Rev., Militia and Frontier Veterans. She, ( and through her, me.....) is the descendant of Robert the Bruce of Scotland!! History has pushed them into a shadowy corner and I would love to learn more about these ancestors!!!
