The following query was posted to the Augusta County Query Page on Wed Feb 3 07:24:58 1999 PLEASE ADRRESS YOUR REPLY TO: ShepherW@cua.edu (William John Shepherd) My ancestor JACOB GOODLING was born somewhere in VA in 1795. I believe his father was PA German but may have married a Scotch-Irish woman and family tradition claims much Scotch-Irish blood. Jacob returned to Mifflin County PA by 1814 and his father was dead by then, but I have nothing else. Strongly suspect family was in either Augusta or Frederick counties. Would love to share info.
