Hello, I am new to this list. I am researching the surname CURRY. I am having trouble finding a marriage record for a James CURRY who married an Elizabeth CURRY. This marriage was quoted in the book "Early settlers of Sangamon Co." as having taken place in Augusta Co. VA on Feb 17, 1817. The parents of this James are unknown. He was also born in VA @ 1798-99 but I have not been able to find that either. This Elizabeth Curry was the daughter of Jane Curry who married a John HUSTON in Augusta Co., April 11, 1807. There in lies another mystery as Elizabeth was born in 1801. Was Jane married to a CURRY gentleman or was her maiden name Curry and this child born out of wedlock.??
