Hi Cousin !! I am descended from William Earl Dodrill, etc. I'd be glad to share with you what I've collected (mostly from the books that are out there). Always glad to talk to a new cousin. George Lewis -b.abt 1714 - d. 1796 - lived at Cowpasture River, Virginia -May have married Mary Catherine Crawford. Their daughter Rebecca Lewis -said to have been married to John Daugherty that was killed by Indians. (No proven facts only theory stated in the Dodrill Family Book) Rebecca married William Earl Dodrill abt 1782 lived on Cowpasture and Greenbrier Co WV. I would like to know the background of the Earl Dodrill - he was the right age for Revolution War - if he fought for the British, I am surprised he would stay in Virginia& marry Rebecca. Their two children Martha Dodrill & James Dodrill in lines of my grandparents- Angelina Dodrill & Arnold Hamrick. I would like to hear your theory on this family. If there aren't too many, could you check for Taylor. If there are lots, I can give you given names and time periods or something to narrow it down. To all of you wonderful people who jumped right on my e-mail: Unfortunately, I'm not home and do not have the URL with me. I tried to use favorite places to put a hyperlink in the note, but since I'm not on my own computer it doesn't want to cooperate. I have been trying for the last two hours to locate the web page to get the URL, but without my favorite places I'm lost. I will continue to try and locate the page and if successful will get to everyone. I will be home in a week, but I hope to solve this situation sooner. If anyone has a solution, I would love to hear it. Again, thanks. Bob in Atlanta
