Dear List, Am new to this list, but been trying to find my Johnson roots for many years. Have just had a "clue" they may have come through Augusta Co. VA. I have researched my GG GF, John Johnson, b. @ 1780-90 VA and his only known sibling, William Johnson, b. @ 1777-1779 VA for years. I do not know their parents names, nor do I know any of their siblings. However, I do have fairly extensive records on their descendants. John Johnson was married twice: first time @ 1807-1809: first child, Canaday, born in TN in 1810: second child, Sarah/Sally, b. 1813 TN. No info on first wife. Second wife, Loveth "Lovie" Louisa Pullen, b. 1802, d/o William Pullen, whose 1841 will is on record in DeKalb Co. AL. I have records on all of their children. John Johnson died MO @ 1854. Lovie died MO 1882, and has a stone in Douglas County. William Johnson, b. @ 1779. His wife was named Sarah (from 1850 census DeKalb Co. AL in HH of her son, Aaron Johnson). I believe William died in the War of 1812, but that is just a guess. Their last child b. 1814, possibly 1815. These families migrated to MO in 1840's and 1850's. After the Civil War, they went to the four winds. My line came to Texas in 1888. Then, to Oklahoma (for land) in the very early 1900's. Does this ring a bell with anybody out there? Would like to touch base with you if you see any connections on these families. Regards, Judy in TX
