"The Bedford Museum and Genealogical Library is proud to welcome Karen Hall as she shares her research into the contribution of the Civilian Conservation Corp into the Blue Ridge Parkway.   Karen is a native of Southwest Virginia and has become very active in the preservation of the Blue Ridge Parkway.  She has written several books on the subject and is finishing a book on the locations of the CCC camps that helped build the Blue Ridge Parkway, with part of the focus to be on Bedford County.  She currently resides in North Carolina where she is an Environmental Chemist working for the state dealing with underground storage tanks.  The presentation will be on Saturday September 16 at 1:30 PM and is free and open to the public.  It will be on the 3rd floor of the Museum, there is an elevator available and plenty of parking. Please call the Museum at 540-586-4520 with any questions." Thank you, Jennifer Thomson Genealogical Librarian Children's Educational Director Bedford Museum & Genealogical Library 201 E.
