Ancestors Married in their Circle, IT goes like this; I was at A Campbell reunion in Nelson County a few YEARS ago, one of my Cousins From Gloucester Va. was telling of an experence, This ole BOY asked one of em mountain Boys, How come YA,LL mary so many Cousins, at ole Campbell BOY answered, wall, we omly got to the Barn tha Corn field & to Church so we NEVA meet no one but Cousins. NOW, I was raised up in Amherst County, Va. & now live in Richmond Va and this may not be just the answer that you were looking for_____BUT it Could likely be THE REASON that many of those Marriages took place.
