    2. I am a 1st cousin, 4 times removed of Silas Whitehead Stinnett. My Line to Silas: Uriah BURLEY was a brother to Silas' mother, Mary "Polly" Burley Stinnett. Thomas Dillworth BURLEY a son of Uriah, had a daughter, Velara. Velara BURLEY & Oscar MOON married. Russell Scott MOON, their son, married Effie Carmichael and their son, Omer Carmichael MOON (deceased ) was my father. I remember emailing with "Cookie" way back when about the Burley and Stinnett line. It's nice to know about the Memorial and I send my best wishes to everyone involved for a beautiful day. OLE CUZ, Silas Went & Joined the C. S. A. When was only 16 years old. He served in the Civil war in Company H 19 Regiment Virginia Infantry, Amherst County Va. He enlisted in May 1864 & was Wounded 29th MARCH 1865 Hatchers Run. This Information is on Page 419 of VOL # 2 of the Manuscript Confederate records in the Archives Division, Virginia State Library. NOW HOW TO GET TO THE CEMETERY U. S. Route 29 RUNS North & South Through Lovingston Va, Which is South of Charlottesville Va, Lovingston is South of C-Ville. There now is A Traffic Light on 29 on the Lovingston BY PASS. North Bound it is a Right Turn, South Bound it is a Left turn At the Light. 3/10 of a mile to State Rt 56 Turn Right on Rt 6 to Shipman James River Road Approaching Shipman you will see a Corner Market on the Left. You will see the Cemetery Above road level. Pass the Cemetery & take Left onto High Peak Lane, it is ABT 3.3 Miles From the Beginning of RT 56. The Cemetery is on the Left.
