All we ask is the person who submitted the information you use be accredited for it. We also ask that if you find ANY mention of the surnames Johnson-Johnston-Johnstone-Jonson etc. in Virginia before 1840, that you document it and send it to me for placing in the research files. Which I have sent you several of involving Ballinger and Wade families with our Johnson- Matlock- Metlock-Madlock discussions. Also we are starting documented files in 1840 and before for North Carolina counties of Vance, Warren, Butte, Oragne, Rockingham, Granville and split counties for Variations of the Jonson- Johnson surname.
