For those interested in how genealogy and genetics (DNA) can work together I recommend Bryan Sykes "Adam's Curse" , Norton Paperback 2005. I found the early chapters on the science hard going but, in the later chapters when he explains and gives examples of how DNA and Genealogy compliment each other in problem solving it is fascinating. He uses the MacDonald Clan and Ghengis Khan as examples which get the readers attention but has other examples using ordinary families . Sykes is a Professor of Genetics at Cambridge University. His earlier book "The Seven Daughters of Eve" is also a good read. Joe Ware Virginian in Texas
