I just made some connection to a daughter of August Schaar who married George W. Smoot-her name is Emelia. Also the Sardis Cemetery in on this webpage and has alot of Smoots there. My maiden name was Schaar and the Schaars and Staples sites were put on by my cousin and I. Also the Schaar cemetery is on our land. Hope this helps.
