Hi I am hoping that one of the list members could suggest a hotel or motel I could stay in that would accommodate research in the area. I would prefer to stay close to both or either the County courthouse and/or the Amherst County Museum and Historical Society. This is my first trip to your lovely area....really looking forward to a couple of days of research time there. I am going to be there for only one night on my way back to NC and do not know the area at all. Suggestions with phone numbers would be most welcome.
