    2. I would like to know about Harris Creek also. Who it was named for. I used to play in the creek on hot summer days back in the 1930's. I come from Lynchburg, and Dad had a place up on the river. We would drive up the old dirt road to his place, passing Harris Creek, and if we were real good, we would stop by and splash in it and cool off on the way back home.
