I have been given 2 conflicting ancestral lines for her, so I will list each of the 2 reports, and ask for some advice or guidance as to which version is correct. #1. Behethland Taliaferro b. 5-20-1738 Caroline Co., VA., she married James Stevens, she died 4-4-1828 Nelson Co VA. She is the daughter of Capt. Richard Taliaferro b. about 1703, s/o John, s/o Robert the Immigrant. #2. Behethland Taiaferro b. 5-20-1738 Caroline Co VA, d/o Capt. Richard Taliaferro, s/o Zachariah, s/o Francis, s/o Robert the Immigrant. Which of these 2 versions is correct? Capt. Richard Taliaferro was married to Rose Berryman. I have gathered alot of Taliaferro genealogy from various sources, but I have never attempted to verify the correct pedigree for my ancestor Behethland Taliaferro. Nelson Co VA is next door to Amherst Co VA, and Capt. Richard Taliaferro is said to have owned 10,000 acres of land at Amherst Co VA.
