    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: WRIGHT Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BAC.2ACE/1347 Message Board Post: To Debbie Ullom: The death record you posted to the list and set forth at the bottom of this posting is that of 1887 (year of death) William S. Wright of Gilmer County, West Virginia, (place of death), who was the son of Charles Wright of Decatur County, Indiana, and Mary (Eubank) Wright and grandson of William Wright, Sr., (Bedford County, Virginia) and _____ (_____) Wright. William S. Wright was born on Apr 22, 1812, at Amherst County, Virginia, married Anne Tomlinson on Feb 17, 1834, at Amherst County, Virginia, resided in Amherst and Rockbridge and Barbour Counties, Virginia, and Gilmer County, West Virginia, where he died on Sep 20 or 22, 1887. The children of 1887 William S. Wright and Anne (Tomlinson) Wright included the following: 1. Charles Wright, born c. 1835 at Virginia, 2. John W. Wright, born on Oct 26, 1836, at Amherst County or Rockbridge County, Virginia, 3. Ambrose Eubank Wright, born on Sep 23, 1839, at Amherst or Rockbridge County, Virginia, 4. Richard Wright, born c. 1843 at Virginia, 5. Nancy J. Wright, born c. 1845 at Virginia, 6. Elizabeth (Wright) Keith, born c. 1846 at Rockbridge County, Virginia, 7. Stewart Wright, born on Jan 1, 1850, at Barbour or Gilmer County, Virginia, and 8. Mickelberry Wright, born on Oct 7, 1855, at Virginia. Recent tracing of a Wright family whose descendant matches the Y-DNA of a descendant of this William Wright, Sr., (Bedford County, Virginia) family indicates that William Wright, Sr., may be connected to Wright families from Orange County, Virginia, but further research is still required to confirm that connection. I would be happy to exchange information on this Wright line with you and other interested researchers. Best wishes, Robert N. Grant 15 Campo Bello Court Menlo Park, CA 94025 [email protected] Posting by Debbie Ullom: Many of you may not be aware that West Virginia is in the process of putting early birth, marriage, and death records online and available for free use.
