Wood m Martha Jane Jones - no dates William Franklin Wood 1815-1880 m Rachel McFarland Edward Hunter Wood 1847-1923 m Mary Elizabeth Hunter Thomas Augustus Wood 1879-1940 m Delilah (Lilah) Payne Mays 1886-1936 I live in SC and plan to visit Nelson and Amherst Counties Va. where the above families lived and would love advice on where to find more research on my Wood, Williams, Hunter, McFarland, Mays, Bowles, Davenport, Moorehouse, Clark-Newcomb-Donley-Bassett families. Would like to find family books on the above families, I just purchased "Fondest Memories" a well written book by Velma Mays White for $35. I will use for reference as time goes by.
