    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Morrison, Higginbotham Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BAC.2ACE/1346 Message Board Post: I found William Morrison and Thomas Morrison Jr.'s names in Albemarle in 1739 and 1756. Is this the William who died in 1761? Amherst County has about five wills on Morrison family. I have not found them quoted. Are additional family names mentioned in the wills? My brick wall is William Morrison who arrived in Hickman Co., TN with Burris (Bunis) Warren about 1820. Warren notes say he was born in Amherst Co. William Morrison was born in Virginia in 1766. I read the Higginbotham/Morrison relationship in "William and Mary". William Higginbotham, son of Benjamin Higginbotham, came to Perry Co., TN from Elbert Co., GA. Perry Co is next to Hickman Co. Does anyone know Patrick Morrison? He signed a deed in Albemarle in 1751 and is mentioned in "Alexander Brown's Early Settlers List". Is he the Patrick who came To America with his brother James and his cousin, George? George died at King's Mt. if the notes I read were correct. It further said that Patrick had sons James, David, John and William. A little was known about each son except William. The notes said William went to Middle Tennessee and descendants were not known. The other Patrick married Ann Foster, fought in the Revolution and was from Rowan Co., NC. Any information or clues will be appreciated. Thank you. Linda
