Ann, you are right on the mark. ALL of my ancestors were in Virginia and PA by the mid 1600's (actually 1635 was the first date) and very early 1700's. I am very proud of what they did to insure you and me of the life we now live. And the heritage we can call our own by freeing us from British rule. We fought each other in the Revolutionary War too. We fought the British and our neighbors who took their allegiance to the King of England very seriously. They were called "Loyalists" but they were Americans. Enough said about the Civil War where Fathers fought their sons and cousins fought cousins and I could go on forever. It was a really Crummy and Stupid war for "States Rights" not entirely for or against slavery. Slavery was the excuse they used. Thanks CUZ and Ann and all the rest who have contributed to this conversation.
