James Brown to Susanna Mills May 30, 1795 Jesse Mills bondsman Also per the Marriage Bonds Amherst County, Virginia 1763-1800 ... James Brown, bachelor and Susannah Mills, spinster May 30, 1795. John Lancaster surety who made oath that Susannah Mills, daughter of Jesse Mills, had resided with him for some time and that he believed her to be 21 years of age." I have no way of confirming this information, that I know of, and am interested in lookup of the Marriage Bonds of Virginia for confirmation.
