Author: CARLAPAGE81 Surnames: page,lobban,ware,woods,mccue,murray,hinton,johnson,lobban,hays, Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.virginia.counties.amherst/2899.1.1.1.1.1.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: now according to what i,ve been told,mary mccue lobban who married robert richard page she was given the middle name of mccue because that was her mothers maiden name.mary,s true middle name was elizabeth which she often went by.she and robert richard page are both buried in the rock spring united methodist churchyard cemetery,right behind the church in faber.the children of robert richard page&mary elizabeth mccue lobban page are also buried there.their headstones are on findagrave.com i might do a google search on google images and see what i come up with on the lobban and mccue families of virginia. that elizabeth jane page that was married to jesse joseph lobban was the daughter of edward d.page.elizabeth and jesse joseph lobban must have divorced because she wound up married a second time to samuel conrad balsley.they are buried about a mile back into the woods up on the blueridge parkway,i don,t recommend anyone going to see the grave site there really isn,t anything to see,my cousin and i came very close to meeting up with a black bear,black bears are "grizzly,s"and they will attack if they are real hungry.there are just fieldstones marking their place of burial.elizabeth jane page lobban balsley died 22/march/1900 she was born 3/dec/1812 rockfish gap.i don,t have any photos of her either.just know that she and jesse joseph lobban divorced.
