Bell, one of Annie Bell's sons. The daughter Delilah (known as Aunt Lila) whom you requested information on was one of two deaf-mute daughters of Annie's (the other was Mary Virginia, known as Aunt Ginny). They taught my mother (John P.'s daughter) sign language, which was the way they communicated. Neither woman married. Anne was daughter of Robert B. Evans and I notice that there is an Evans family next door to Anne Bell also in the 1880 census. America Evans, widow of Morris Evans, Anne's brother, lived in the household of Walter Evans, also Anne's brother. I don't know how William Mays is connected to the Bell family, but it looks as if the families all lived close to each other. Why, by the way is your interest in Delilah, and do you know the connection between the two families?
