William T. North (James R., Richard) b. 1852, married Mary E. Stevens of Stevens Cove (See Note 4) Children of William T. North and Mary E. Stevens Annie Lewis (Louis) North (b. 1875) married Melvin Bryant b. 1879, d. 1961 Children of Annie North and Melvin Bryant: Daughter: Ella Elizabeth Bryant ( my grandmother) married Clinton Fogus Clements (my grandfather) lived in Amherst and Nelson County in the little village of Tye River. Sons: Harry Bryant, Arthur Bryant, Gaylon Bryant, Thomas Bryant worked for the railroad and moved to Alexandria, (Thomas later moved to Durham, NC). When we completed the DNA testing of our Clements family, we found that we are not actually Clements. Dad's DNA is from the Abraham Martin family, whose daughter Mary "Polly" married Jesse Clements and raised our James Powell Clements. I assume they gave him the name. We believe that at some point he also lived with Frances Clements Cash, wife of Jack Cash. The census seems to indicate this. This family went to Missouri in the early 1840s but Jesse died there and the family returned to Amherst. On my mother's side our Richard Pierce born 5/28/1818 in Albemarle married Tomlin, Eliza Ann b 1/07/1811 Amherst William Dabney Dorothy Anne Richard D. Mary Elizabeth John R. They are buried on East Branch Loop Road in Roseland. I don 't know her parents but Lauren probably has it. Richard P. the father of William D.
