His father was James Bradley Massie who married Merciful Campbell. James father was Zachary Massie. "Lina" was the daughter of Landon Fitzgerald (1853-1889) and Sarah Fitzgerald and Landon was the son of Jonathan Fitzgerald and Sarah "Polly" Fitzgerald. Yes, both Lina's mother and grandmother were Fitzgeralds by birth. I have never been able to find a relationship between the two families. William Lina moved back and forth between Amherst and Fayette Counties several times. The William was struck and killed by a car and Lina settled in Fayette County, WV.
