    3. I am looking for information for a Mitchell Baughn who died abt. 1766 in Amherst Co. There was an inventory and Samuel Baughn from Bedford Co. was administrator. Does anyone have information about this Baughn (or possibly Vaughn)? Thank you.

Bounded by Charles Johnson the Elder, William Rountree, Robert Adams, Perin Ferrar & John Gordon. Also another parcel of 98 acres on Broad Branch of Tuckahoe Creek bounded by Edward Willis, Armistead Lightfoot, Robert Burton & Matthew Nightengale. Wit: Matthew Vaughan, John King, Wm. Rountree, Geo Divers. Signed: Charles Johnson, jr. Rec: Dec. 15, 1767 (DB#9,pg.123) research of Bonnie Flythe Parts of Tuckahoe Creek first found in Goochland Co go into Albemarle Co and then into Amherst. Co. Of note a Chalres Johnson is the neighbor of John Soreel whose lands will go into Amherst Co. Unk if this is the same Charles Johnson neighbor of John Sorrell but these lands are on Tuckahoe Creek which is found in Several Counties. 1769 April checking 1765 on James Johnson "the Elder" : James Johnson the Elder for divers good and Causes & consideration...... for the love & natural affection I bear unto my son Isham Johnson.
