Hi All, Still looking for someone with info on Samuel Ellis Martin, b. circa 1824 in Amherst. Wife-Nancy Hartless. Died March of 1904 in Rockbridge Co., VA. I think his father and mother may have been William E. Martin, Jr. and Tinsy Lawhorne. Samuel named his only son William Ellis Martin. William E. Martin married first Nancy Cash, and then Lucy A. Lawhorne. He lived most of his life in Rockbridge Co., and was known as "Uncle Chub" or "Chub" Martin. Phyllis
