The big question I have is: on the 1860 census for Amherst Co. VA.... series M653, Roll 1332, page 421 listed under the paupers is a Joanna Dempsey, who is she?? Is she my Ann ?? What happened to the children?? Now, "MY" Ann shows up in Ohio with Richard, with daughters named Emily J.and Pires E. ....is Joanna and Ann the same person???? Don't know what happened to Clementine or Ann the other two daughters. Amherst Museum doesn't know where the people went who were on the pauper list... says the state has that information. And I have Ann Dempsey's death certificate and it says that she was the daughter of Wesley Dempsey... ) ?? mother Mary Dempsey... (Richard's first wife) Who were her parents?? Jane Henson.... ( Richard's second wife and mother to my great grandfather) (daughter of John Henson and Mary Ann Redmond (Redman) Have no information on the Hensons!!
