    1. [VAAMHERS] DNA Testing
    2. Tony Johnson
    3. The JJJDNA project is making it easier to trace this surname and its various spelling: We are studying KNOWN Travel Patterns of a persons DNA and this gives you clues of where to look for established DNA routes. We have color coded the Surnames into Groups and then we maintain Library's of research on these DNA by color coding the groups as to where they lived and who they lived by. Currently we are mapping DNA's by Color in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. We are looking for people to establish a State library for all the original 13 colonies, on the template I posted. The 13 colonies is where it all started. People have also forgotten that we were 13 individual Colonies with different ethnic backgrounds cultures, langauges, trading, monies etc. coming out of Europe. We stayed in our ethnic backgrounds. (CLANS) The first real break up of the clans was the War between the States which killed about 60 percent of the male population of the US. Widows married outside their clans for survival. All one has to do is go thru the Library and Match up his color to deeds, wills etc. The library is broken down by County, then by Water way ( Creek or River) and by Mountain Tops. Reason for this is so many County and Parish Lines were established on Known Rivers Creeks and Mountains. One side of a family lived on a Creek and the other family lived on the opposite side. They found them selves in Different Counties or Parishes and had to record there deeds, births etc into the County or Parish they were in. Same way with paying Taxes. Lots of Researchers fail to study the LAND their families came to, there are so many Clues when you place them on the Creek, River or Mountain that they actual lived on. Most of these families came to lands that family was already on and they brought more family with them and settled beside them. I can not stress the importance of DNA testing in researching any surname. As it can establish new research partners that our your Blood lines. It establishes a Travel Pattern of your DNA by plotting it on a Map. It show you the KEY Surname that your families married into and moved with. Tony L. Johnson For Amherst Co Va.
