I am related to the Bolings on both my husband's and my sides. His GGGrandmother was Leota Boling (ga.), her father was Thomas Jackson Boling (Ga.), his father was Thomas Boling (SC). It is said that he was the son of Benjamin Elliott Boling (Va), but I have not been able to verify this. There is a DNA study that was done on the Bolings. Thomas Jaclson Boling family was part of that study. This is posted on the Boling web site. On my side, we were part of the first families of Va. including part of the financiers of the Jamestowne Colony. They married into the Boling family in Va. There are many different spellings of the Boling name. I will be doing more research next Friday when I go down to the DAR Library.
